Bosnia and Herzegovina 1:2 Germany: First reactions and observations

First reactions and observations

  • Well, that was certainly a football game. Germany unnecessarily complicated the second half by allowing Džeko to score from a corner, but otherwise it was a comfortable performance.
  • Three goals ruled out for offside – Nagelsmann might want to talk to his players about that.
  • Deniz Undav looks like the striker Germany has been begging for. He appears to be in top form at the moment, an ominous sign considering Stuttgart play Bayern Munich straight after this break ends.

Full time: Bosnia and Herzegovina – Germany 1:2.

70′ – Goal. Džeko scores from a corner to make it 2-1.

45′ — The second half is underway!

Half time: Germany leads 2-0.

35′ – Goal. Undav makes it 2-0!

29′ – Goal. Undav makes it 1-0!

Start: We’re on the way!

One hour until kick-off: We have lineups!

It’s only October, but Julian Nagelsmann is struggling with so many injuries that he may already be dreaming of returning to FC Bayern. Nevertheless, expectations are high for Germany this international break as the team appears to be on an upward trend. All eyes will be on the goalkeepers this time – Alexander Nübel is expected to start against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Oliver Baumann is expected to play against the Netherlands. With Ter Stegen expected to be out for almost a year, these goalkeepers could make a case to take the spot as Germany’s No. 1 goalkeeper during this break.
