Slot had a relatively quiet summer transfer window with Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili These are the club’s only new signings, with the latter remaining at his current club Valencia until next summer.
The Reds can strengthen their squad again in January, but it remains to be seen whether new faces will arrive at Anfield this winter.

Slot wants Kokcu
According to the Portuguese outlet Record Slot is aiming for a reunion with former Feyernoord captain Orkun Kokcu. The midfielder has already had a great start to the season.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and provided three assists in nine appearances in all competitions. With slot Having also made a great start to the season, winning six of his first seven Premier League games, it could be a perfect match for the pair.
The Turkish player led Slot’s Feyernoord side to the Eredivisie title in the 2022/23 season and the coach believes Kokcu could further strengthen the Liverpool side, which has had a busy season.
Liverpool have previously signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica, who didn’t have much luck at Anfield. The Reds would hope that Kokcu would have more success at the club if they signed him.
Kokcu’s contract at Benfica expires in 2028 and is believed to have a release clause of around £103m, with the Portuguese side reportedly wanting £67m for the player in January. However, they don’t seem ready to let any of their stars go.
With Slot apparently looking to strengthen the midfield, he may be unhappy with his current lineup. However, given the success of Kokcu and Slot together, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched that the Dutchman had always planned to bring the midfielder to Merseyside.
