Padres vs. Dodgers result, live updates: NLDS Game 5 is a winner-take-all matchup between NL West rivals

After battling in the NL West all season and being among the best teams in the National League, the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers come down to one game in the National League Division Series.

Game 5 is underway at Dodger Stadium and this series has had a bit of everything, from fans throwing trash onto the field to Dave Roberts accusing Manny Machado of throwing a ball into the Los Angeles dugout to Fernando Tatis Jr., who had an incredible series Shohei Ohtani lets his emotions run wild.

The Padres won eight of the 13 regular-season meetings between these teams in 2024 and have Yu Darvish on the mound in that game against Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
