Everyone drinks the Vanderbilt Kool-Aid after the Commodores beat Alabama. That includes the people on the College GameDay set.
In the “Superdog” segment, ESPN analysts each pick a big underdog to pull off an upset. Not one, but TWO are jumping on the Vanderbilt bandwagon, the former Michigan Wolverine Desmond Howard And Nick Saban.
“I’ve been annoyed all week making comments about Vandy not being that hard to play, so I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and become a Vandy person, and I’m picking Vandy +13 at Kentucky today. said the former Alabama head coach.
Rece Davis acknowledged that Kentucky’s defense was playing as well as anyone, even better than Bama. But in a strange twist, Kirk Herbstreit took a chance on one of his favorite programs. “Kentucky invented having a big win and then losing.”
Pregame Features Spotlight Vanderbilt
The Vanderbilt Commodores have been the talk of college football all week. That hasn’t changed on the ESPN pregame shows. The college game day crew traveled to Nashville to participate Diego Pavia around the campus.
Now on the SEC Network, head coach at Vanderbilt Clark Leah spent some time chatting with the SEC Nation crew at the Red River Shootout. He’s been in the spotlight quite a bit this week. He doesn’t want to shy away from it, but instead wants his team to double down on what went well so they’re prepared for Saturday night’s game in Lexington.
“We will understand what this result meant for us when we reflect on it at the end of the season. What. We must now try to use it, amplify it, advance it” and build on it. This requires us not to sit here and procrastinate.”
